Partnership Creates On-Line Loss Prevention Tool for the Hospitality Industry

Industry-wide data share and case management system delivers proactive solutions for companies of all sizes.
Houston, TX and Plainview, NY, February 8, 2008 - HospitalityLawyer.com (HL.com) and Enabl-u Technologies Corporation (Enabl-u) announced today a partnership to develop two on-line tools enabling the hospitality industry to communicate incident and investigation data and utilize a robust case management solution.
Hospitality LP DataShare (HLP!-DS) is an on-line data sharing platform enabling hospitality companies to communicate important data relating to serious property incidents involving theft and criminal activity. HLP!-DS provides hospitality companies an opportunity to analyze and compare risk activity and incident details between locations and across geographic areas, allowing them to better protect their customers, employees, assets and brands. Hospitality companies will enter their property incident information directly into the HLP!-DS system or upload information from their current incident reporting systems. HLP!-DS will be a proactive means to minimizing liability while ensuring confidentiality and brand protection. Information will be contributed with a degree of anonymity and will be standardized, with the individual hospitality companies deciding how much of the data they wish to upload into the system.
HLP! Case Management System (HLP!-CM) offers data entry, workflow, communication, alerts and reporting functionality for critical incidents, as well as loss prevention investigations and cases. This is a robust, yet scalable solution that is perfect whether you are managing one property, ten, or hundreds. With a link directly to the HLP!-DS platform to facilitate the data sharing process, data analysis is easy for users. As an on-line data management tool, it can be accessed through the HospitalityLawyer.com Web site or directly at www.hospitalitydatashare.com.
“These solutions answer the need many hospitality companies have for a comprehensive tool kit to assist them in risk, loss prevention and legal data management,” says Todd Throckmorton, vice president of HL.com. “Many clients ask us to help them find an affordable yet functional data management system. We’ve found the best solution with Enabl-u Technologies, who has a reputation of success in the retail space with companies such as Wal-Mart, Home Depot, TJX and OfficeMax. While many of our clients have hundreds or even thousands of properties to manage, it has been a challenge to find a tool that works for those with less than 20 properties, as in a franchise operation. The HLP!-CM system has been developed for companies as well as large-scale operations. It is a very affordable and proven solution.”
HLP!-CM is cost effective for less than $30 per month subscription fee per location plus a onetime set up fee, with discounts available for multiple properties. While this base system is being offered as a pre-configured solution, the full system offers additional flexibility, scalability, and is customizable to larger property and incident management needs.
“Both of these technologies are being leveraged successfully by the retail industry today and we’re confident they will greatly benefit the hospitality industry as well,” said Kevin McMenimen, CEO of Enabl-u Technologies. “We are proud to be partnered with HospitalityLawyer.com to help pioneer this effort in bringing the same powerful analytical and investigative capabilities that help to reduce loss, risk and corporate exposure for our retail clients.” HospitalityLawyer.com and Enabl-u will be previewing the systems at the 6th Annual Hospitality Law Conference in Houston, TX, Feb. 11-13, 2008. They will enroll pilot partners and put together a steering committee to aid in the further development and direction of the systems.
