The course will demonstrate safe driving skills and concepts that can be applied in everyday driving. It's a participant-intensive educational approach is ideal for experienced adult drivers. Coaching The Van Driver II

This course, which is offered by Coaching Systems, addresses topics that include pre-trip inspection, van characteristics, cushion of safety, safety belts, scanning, backing, blind spots, city, highway and rural driving, transporting cargo and transporting passengers. (2 hours)

Backing Safely

This course, which is offered by Coaching Systems, provides a review of the essential precautions you should take to back safely when driving a vehicle. The course provides many tips to avoid backing, specific steps for a safe back, procedures for backing with a helper and procedures for backing with a trailer. (30 minutes)

Driving In Low Visibility

This course, which is offered by Coaching Systems, presents preventive measures and corrective actions to improve a drivers ability to see and be seen in adverse weather, at night, in bright sun, driving through tunnels, when dealing with "blinding" spray from passing vehicles, when near oversized vehicles, when driving through shadows, etc. (30 minutes)

This comprehensive course, provides coverage of collision-prevention techniques, including cushion of safety, mirror adjustment, scanning, vehicle positioning, safe backing and parking procedures, and more, as they apply to city, commercial, highway and rural driving areas. It also deals with other safety-related topics, including vehicle inspection, vehicle handling & design characteristics, safety in the company yard, and delivery situations. (2 hours)

Coaching The Straight-Truck Driver

This comprehensive course, which is offered by Coaching Systems, addresses topics such as protecting your space (cushion of safety), long distance scan, preventing collisions, delivery situations, and vehicle inspection. (2 hours)

Coaching The Motorcycle Operator

This course, which is offered by Coaching Systems, is designed for operators who know the basics, have completed the state mandatory training and can maneuver a bike. However, experience teaches us that there's more than just knowing how to maneuver your bike if you want to stay safe. Operating your bike safely is the first step toward preventing a crash with another motor vehicle, fixed object or pedestrian. (2 hours)

Professional Ambulance Driver

This course, which is offered by Coaching Systems, demonstrates how to conduct a series of specific exercises, including serpentine driving (backward and forward), backing to the right and left, backing with an assistant, etc. which test the operators ability to drive the vehicle smoothly, judge spatial relations (distance and clearance), maximize the use of mirrors, and communicate with other squad members.
