Enabl-u Hosted System
We can provide you with a very simple and secure alternative to hosting the application in-house. Enabl-u can fully host the system for you providing easy access for your users through their internet browser. You have the choice to set up access from the internet or from your corporate intranet.
The requirements on your side are very simple:
- Client desktops (Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher).
- Web Server (IIS 6.0 running on Windows 2003 Server).
- Access to an SMTP mail server is required to allow the application to send e-mail alerts.
The system and your data are housed in fully secure facilities with redundant back-up systems as you will see below. And remember you own the data and we keep it running.
Some information about the Data Center we use:
Physical Security - Access to the Data Center is restricted to authorized personnel by two-factor authentication including biometric scanners. All entrances and common areas are monitored 24x7 via closed-circuit cameras.
Regulated Environment - Redundancy is built into our heating and cooling systems to maintain a consistent and optimal environment in the Data Center. An FM200 fire suppression system is in place to minimize risk in the unlikely event of fire. Cabinets are individually monitored to manage heat, humidity and power consumption.
Redundant Power The data center has on-site redundant power sources and redundant back-up generators, including an on-site multiple-day fuel supply. Staying lit throughout the Northeast power outage of August 2003 was a testament to our Data Center’s reliability. Our generators and failover systems are regularly tested to ensure a seamless transition in the event of an emergency. The primary UPS’s are redundant 225kva Liebert 600t Series featuring redundant battery cabinets and a full maintenance bypass allowing for service and upgrades without interruption.
Generator backup services are provided by tandem Detroit Diesel 500KW diesel generators. Generator power is activated automatically in the event of a grid failure by the transfer switch. The interim load has capacity for over ninety minutes by the UPS, however this is not necessary as the generator is active and up to speed within 16 seconds of a power failure.
Physical Infrastructure - Our Data Center is designed on Cisco multilevel architecture. Redundant Fiber Optic connectionsincluding dual OC 48 & OC 12 connections from Verizon, OC 12 Sonet from AT&T, OC 3 from Cablevision Lightpath and GIGe from Keyspan, each entering the building through separate trenches. Support The Network Operations Center (NOC) is staffed 24x7x365 by help desk Level I and Level II technicians. Pre-defined escalation procedures ensure that issues are addressed efficiently and brought to resolution quickly.
